Nouakchott, July 22 .- The Mauritanian navy has arrested three Malians for smuggling undocumented immigrants into Spain from the territorial waters of Mauritania, reported today the delegation of Maritime Fisheries Surveillance and Control.

"After the relevant research in close collaboration with police services in Nouadhibou (North), the DSPCM yesterday successfully stopped three Malian traffickers," agency said in a statement, tera gold, posted on its website.

Those arrested are Lacine Traore, Djibril Coulibaly and another person identified only as Ibrahim, he added the DSPCM, which must be one of them is "the chief instigator of the attempted illegal migration of eleven illegal immigrants to the Canary Islands, intercepted last week in Nouadhibou.

The three traffickers were handed over to the Gendarmerie, and soon pass to the, aika gold, Prosecutor's Office of Nouadhibou.

According the same source, another Malian, Doumbia Sima, also appeared before the Justice of this city on Monday for alleged complicity in the same attempt at illegal immigration.
